gospelSt. Monica's Gospel Choir
Our Gospel Choir was formed 20 years ago with a group of 11 members. Today, we are blessed to have 15 members who are dedicated to the ministry of song.

Our mission is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through songs of worship, praise, adoration and thanksgiving with a devotion to sharing with our congregation an understanding of and appreciation of the sacred gospel music of today. Our commitment as always is to be a consistent voice of praise for our church and our community.

The Gospel Choir has collaborated with and performed at area churches and organizations in the Greater Hartford area: St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Avon, Faith Congregational in Hartford, CT; the Belden Theatre at the Bushnell, Gospel Brunch at the Pond House, Elizabeth Park in Hartford, West Indian Week celebration at Fox Middle School, Union of Black Episcopalians Northeast Regional Conference, St. Monica’s Harvest Concert with Wintley Phipps, Presidential inaugural performer and world renowned vocal artist; joint concert with a gospel choir from Sweden at the University of Hartford; Gospel Fest at Weaver High School; "Simsbury Celebrates" at First Church of Simsbury.
