From the Pastor
Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
It is a pleasure and privilege to welcome you to St. Monica’s where Christ is Alive in Hartford’s North End. For over one hundred years, St. Monicans have been worshipping in the Anglican tradition, serving all sorts and conditions of people. We have especially sought to serve those whom Jesus [Matthew 25:40] called "the least of these my brethren," whether by providing a hot meal, groceries, or clean clothing. Every bit as important, Jesus reminds us "that people do not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from God’s mouth" and that we "need not be anxious about what you eat, or drink, or wear, for God clothes you!" God does this, of course, through our willing and unconditional participation in the redemption of the world, through our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom all Grace amazingly and abundantly proceeds! We invite you to "Come and see" [John 1:39] Jesus in our Worship, Fellowship, Bible study, and Service programs. Now, to help us get acquainted, take a few minutes to explore this website. Welcome!
